Digital Citizenship:
Digital Citizenship is the concept of educating how to use technology appropriately. This involves using technology effectively and not misusing it to disadvantage others. Digital Citizenship consists of numerous subjects including appropriate online etiquette, an understanding of ethics and the law as it relates to technology, staying safe online, and advice on health issues relating to the use of technology.(http://www.tsv.catholic.edu.au/resource_centre/digital_citizenship/digital_citizenship.php). Target Audience: The digital poster that I have created is targeted at teenagers aged between 12 and 17 years of age because teenagers in this age group are becoming more curious and may be looking for experiences through the Internet. The poster is also targeted towards parents, teachers, schools and the communities in order to raise awareness to prevent cyber bullying from happening. Poster Description: I have decided to create my digital poster about cyber bullying because I think cyber bullying is a very serious problem in today’s society as teenagers are increasingly using the internet and social media. The poster will inform parents and teenager about cyber bullying and what to do if they or others are victims of cyber bullying. The first part of the poster defines and explains cyber bullying to give students and parents an idea of what cyber bullying consists of. The second part of the poster informs parents and teachers about the different signs of cyber bullying. The graph shows the percentage of teenagers who have already used a cell phone. The last part of the poster is about getting help, through government websites designed to help people affected by cyber bullying. The last part also gives detail about what teenagers should do when they are being cyber bullied or when someone that they know is being cyber bullied. |
